Our house is over a hundred years old. Is that a problem?
No, it just changes the approach. Old Town’s brick and plaster makes new cable runs expensive and eats wireless signal, so the design leans on Thread, Zigbee and Z-Wave for lighting, sensors and locks, with access points placed against the actual construction rather than dropped in and hoped for.
